Alsa …… the name of the ancient wood that borders the farm in an area that, according to the doomsday book, was, even then, noted for quality pigs . We specialise in Gloucestershire Old Spots because they are, we feel, the best dual purpose pig; fattened for pork cuts, sausages or for bacon they produce the highest quality and best tasting meat of all the breeds. They are also docile and easy to manage and therefore perfect for first-time pig keepers. We show pigs too and have been very successful, winning many prizes.
Visits from those interested in keeping pigs for the first time are encouraged and we take great care to give good advice and help.
