About Us

Alsa …… the name of the ancient wood that borders the farm in an area that, according to the doomsday book, was, even then, noted for quality pigs .

We specialise in Gloucestershire Old Spots because they are, we feel, the best dual purpose pig; fattened for pork cuts, sausages or for bacon they produce the highest quality and best tasting meat of all the breeds. They are also docile and easy to manage and therefore perfect for first-time pig keepers.

We also show pigs and have been very successful, winning a number of prizes.
